There are practical assessments to complete. You must complete and pass all assessments to complete the course and attain the certification. These include

  • Working at heights
  • Manual Handling
  • Low Voltage Rescue and CPR
  • Pre-work personal checks
  • Pre-work equipment checks
  • Pre-work safety checks
  • Rescue performance
  • Post rescue

During the practical assessment, you will need to demonstrate your ability to safely and effectively deal with a simulated emergency scenario. You will need to demonstrate your ability to safely and effectively rescue and resuscitate a person from an electrocution scenario in a simulated work environment. The rescue will be timed.

This will involve:

  • Performing a risk assessment
  • Isolating an electrical supply as appropriate to the scenario
  • Removing a victim from a dangerous situation
  • Using a fire blanket safely and effectively
  • Following the DRSABCD process for resuscitation
  • Performing 2 continuous minutes of CPR on an adult and child manikin
  • Performing 2 operator CPR
  • Reacting to a victim vomiting or regurgitating<.li>
